Famous for its seafood restaurants and fabulous climate it is located on the Atlantic coast and includes the offshore islands of Aix, Oléron and Ré. The seaside resort of Rochefort is steeped in maritime history and Royan boasts five beaches for those who love the combination of sea, sun and sand!
